Our courteous and knowledgeable staff are prepared to assist with reports of power outages, billing inquiries, and emergency requests for service repairs for all City services.
Customer Service Representatives
In our continuous effort to provide effective and efficient service to our customers, we have combined the billing, customer service, and radio communications functions into the Business Office. Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are stationed in our communications center alongside Communication Technicians who dispatch the Public Services workforce. This close working relationship gives the CSRs direct access to the service crews and allows them to provide the most accurate information to customers.
Customer Service Representatives are also located inside City Hall to respond to walk-in customers, who may need or want face-to-face contact to process their transactions. Walk-in service is available 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
During extreme weather or other events which may lead to increased call volume, 20 additional operators may log into our telephone system to respond to customer inquiries. The Business Office staff responds to approximately 12,000 telephone inquires, 2,000 walk-ins and prepares over 1,000 service orders each month.
